i believe that they should but that is unconstitutional. the freedom to not go to school and chose to teach your own kids is exactly that, a CHOICE. if we start taking away choices, then we take away freedom

Yes and those kids need to be in a public school anyways so they can learn how much people suck.

The problem I have with homeschooling is that parents teaching their children is just...I don't know. I feel like they teach more than just the curriculum. The student will be taught the way the parent thinks, and live with the parent and get no outside view or opinion on how to see things. They basically have a one-way vision on things. Also, social interaction is crucial in the development of people. Children who are home-schooled just don't get the same type of experiences that most regular school kids do...in a way, they're deprived from life. I would not home school my children...there's just too much they can't see or do under a home school environment.
