Because most of those people who work for the whole year have absolutely no depth or substance to their music. It's just noise. For example, Lady Gaga is noise. Her music is garbage because it has no soul. She doesn't sing about anything relevant to people's lives. Alicia Keys sings about real shit that people can relate to. And she doesn't just have one single. She'll have one song that stands out on her album, but most artists are that way.
