Yes, Yes and Yes. When I first started working at my current job a co-worker made my life living hell. Once when I stood up to her she stepped towards me as if she was going to hit me. Sometimes I took up for myself but most of the time I didn't. I felt terrible either way. It took me a long time to get out of the habit of trying to please her or try to befriend her.(I was naive enough to think everyone had to like me or something was wrong with me.) She's still a witch after 11 years but I have slowly and painfully grown into a "Don't mess with me Bitch" kinda girl. (Sorry this is so long but hey, no one's ever asked and I just had to get that out!)

Yes. Most of them give up though, after a while, if you act like nothing they say touches you.
