  • a spoonful of honey! Do not underestimate the healing properties of honey - especially local honey (the bees feed on the pollen that surrounds you, so it is basically a kind of homeopathy). But for sore throats, honey sticks to the sore bits, and sooths it. Try it!
  • Once my kid had a sore throat so bad she could not swallow. First I gave her colloidal silver in water and had her let it trickle down her throat until it was gone. A half hour later I gave her trace minerals diluted in water. The pain was reduced to where she could take tiny sips. I had her lay on different sides so the water would flow down different sides of her throat until it was gone. A half hour later she was able to swallow pretty well, so I gave her apple cider vinegar mixed with water and raw unfiltered honey (cooked honey is not as health-promoting). It did the trick, because with each successive treatment, her throat felt better until her throat was not sore at all and she was able to begin eating. I warmed these drinks so it was pretty close to body temperature or a little warmer.
  • Thank you - i've woken up and my throat feels no better so will definately try the vinegar part as have that in my store cupboard :-)
  • Hot lemonade with honey... or lemon tea with lots of added lemon juice. The lemon serves as an antiseptic while the honey soothes the irritation. Works for me. Hope you feel better soon!
