I would consider it a hate crime as the radical muslim types absolutely hate the U S. However, I have been to the middle east several times and the good ones respect us as we respect them for the most part.

Yes definelty a hate crime against our people...Mainly Christian and Jews..but there is a God and he see's everything..A time and place for all of it to happen to them later on...these radical islamic facist, have got to die..

That would be an act of terrorism, not a hate crime. Hate crimes are acts of violence directed at specific individuals because of race, color, national origin, gender, age, sexual orientation, etc. From wikipedia: "Common definitions of terrorism refer only to those violent acts which are intended to create fear (terror), are perpetrated for an ideological goal (as opposed to a lone attack), and deliberately target or disregard the safety of non-combatants." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Terrorism

I think hate is required to commit any crime that involves maiming or death of another human being.
