For the health care reform go look at what is happening to Canada, they come over here because it is so messed up for them to get medical care, it takes them several months to see a doctor and that's whats going to happen to us..... No, it is no refreshing when the policies weaken the country. His idea of healthcare reform will ruin our healthcare industry. It should be noted that the pullout of troops of from Iraq started under the Bush administration and was made possible by the policies of that administration. The question now is whether this administration will continue them in a responsible manner that will allow the elected government of Iraq to maintain control and continue to improve that nation's prospects for the future or will Obama just abandon them to the terrorists that are still trying to take it over. The jury is still out on this question. However, his policies toward the war in Afghanistan don't bode well. When the commanding general in Afghanistan recommended a surge of troop back into that country to take on the Taliban, he fired that general and replaced him with another. Now his hand picked general is saying the same thing and he still is not acting on the advice. So, let's just see what happens here. Finally, Gitmo was not the hell hole that the left wanted to make it out to be. In closing it, Obama is going back to the failed policies of the Clinton administration in dealing with terrorism. He is giving enemy combatants rights that they have never had before. He is wanting to treat them like criminals. This is the same attitude that allowed them to grow in strength during the Clinton administration to point at which they were able to launch the attacks of 9/11. Note that he was eager to release the details of the coercive interrogation techniques that were used on these people. People in his administration want to prosecute those that performed these interrogations. However, he won't release what was learned from those interrogations and the details of how they prevented subsequent attacks. So, in enacting these policies, Obama is taking us back to the level of vulnerability that we face leading up to the 9/11 attacks. So, no, I am not glad to see him keeping his promises. We are all going to be worse off because of them if he succeeds. ------------- Oh, and let me add one other thing here. Whatever happened to his and the Democrats' promises of transparency? They keep trying to ram legislation through before anyone, including the lawmakers themselves, have a chance to read it. Is this being transparent? I don't think so.

I am waiting to see if the troops come home,if he keeps his word and refuses to send any more troops to Afganistan,and to become firm of healthcare regardless if it is bipartisan or not.All are good ideas and need to be accomplished. It will take time to clean up the mess the republicans left with 8 years of ruling.
