(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mexican_peso#Second_peso) "Dos mil" is 2,000 -- so in today's pesos, you have 2. At modern exchange rates, 2 pesos is worth about 16 cents. If you can double your money somehow (the racetrack?) you can buy a copy of the Tijuana newspaper Frontera for 4 pesos: http://www.frontera.info/ Might the note have some value to collectors? Sorry, I don't know about that one. It's face value is trivial.
