I think it's a big fuss about nothing. A team of professionals in a hi-risk job, let off a little steam. Engage in a little team building after the successful completion of a dangerous job. Even the article says they carried on working through the horseplay Should get a severe dressing down, including a reminder about the integrity of evidence, then forget it! Since the highest risk to me at work would be chipped nail polish or laddered hose, I'd probably deserve to be fired for similar behaviour. But then some in similarly sedate jobs as mine would get away with it because they aren't at the front line protecting society against wealthy influential people who have an interest in anarchy.
