Everybody is suing everybody, it seems. Are there better ways to solve our problems? Are Americans too litigious?

People see lawsuits as easy money. They are hard and tedious....

Thanks to the economy and/or the ever rising cost of living more and more middle class people will fall into the lower class (poverty level). As more people become desperate there will be a rise in frivolous lawsuits.

It's way too easy for people to take advantage of others with no law enforcement to provide recourse to those who have been wronged. The courts are the only recourse people have to recover damages or punish the wrongdoer. Lawsuits should be a deterrent to others considering the same crime.

I would love to see the judicial system put the following into place: Loser pays all attorney fees on both sides. If that was the case, I don't see so many companies settling to try to keep their legal expenses down. It might also make the person doing the suing to think twice before doing it.
