I think it should go without saying that a community as lacking in personality as Answerbag would need to congratulate it's members for even the most simple of accomplishments. And then everyone circles up around the day's hero, and masturbates furiously. It's all good fun. Well, in a completely not fun way, of course.

Whenever someone makes level 50 (or every named level after that), someone "throws a party" for them, usually a friend. If you don't like them, ignore them. But join in, now and then. They aren't that bad. It's been going on since before I joined over two years ago, and will be going on in the future. Get used to it! (There have been people complaining about them for that long, too.) LOL

Yea, it is useless fluff. Like saying Hello or Good Morning when you meet a friend. Or telling your wife those pants make her look 10 years younger. Or comforting your children when they are scared of the non-existing monster under the bed. Us humans need our fluff. OK.
