Left front seat.
-
Window seat in the back.

I like the extra leg room in the emergency exit row. Any seat there is good. Window is best.
-
Window seat. Because I love to look out the window. If you're by the wing, you get to see the flaps moving and the engine pods(?)

Window seat with emergency exit. I wanna see if I have time to strap on the chute before we hit...:) Just kidding. I like to see the scenery. Last time I was on a flight, a woman had my seat and got REAL offended about me exercising my pplacement. I then got a stewardess and she told her that 'He paid for it, it's his" She gets up and I settle in. She then talked someone else in the next row for theirs. She worked her way to the back finally. :)

Without a doubt, front left (captain's seat).
-
In the Back. +5

Preferably in first class, but that rarely happens. For long haul flights, I like the aisle seat so I can get up and move around more easily. For shorter flights, a window seat, because I love looking out the window especially for take-off and landing.

It really depeneds on what your definition of best is weather its more safe, convince, or general comfort? The safest seat in most planes is the bulk head above the wing. It is heavily reenforced thus most likely to survive a crash and usual very close to the emergency exit if not apart of it. For Convenience, the seat closest to the bathroom or the forward galley (were the flight attendants are stationed, normally in the forward portion of the aircraft). Finally for general comfort there is no specific part of the aircraft proven to be more comfortable aside from first class. Some say the seat just behind the bulk head, which is supposable the least turbulent due to the heavy reinforcement close proximity to the wing. Some believe that the back is the most comfortable because the seats are sold last and therefor there is usually less passengers seated there.
