AVG. Its free. Its addresses the viruses. It prevents viruses. It is easy to install. It is easy to configure. When I install it somewhere else, more people seem to misuse it less.
-
None. I like struggling with my computer.
-
I use Panda. It's $25.00 a year but it catches all the viruses. I had AVG free for years and viruses still got through.
-
Symantec - it was free for me!
-
I use avg its free and so far i have had no prob out of it. Had for 7 years. But if your willing to pay McAfee would be good too its just a memory hog... but that seems to be one of the leading programs that are being used. Fallen XD
-
ESET NOD32 SS as it's the best money can buy and comes up tops in all test even at: www.av-comparatives.org
-
I don't use an anti-virus program. I use Linux Mint - its immune to Microsoft Windows-only viruses.
-
McAfee. It's boring tells me everythings OK 99% of the time. I had more exciting AV programs that caught something almost everyday. Then I found they were pulling down parts of legitimate software. So back to boring old McAfee. Not so far had a problem tho! But still boring.

Well at the moment i am using Nod32 Smart Security because it uses less memory, and it is very easy to use. However you have to pay for it in order to use it, but there are many ways to get it FREE. I used to use Avast, but it took to much memory and my computer was acting up, so i changed it. However Avast has loads of features, so just because it uses a lot of memory doesn't mean it isn't very good. For a PAID for Anti-Virus use one of the following: Bit Defender Kaspersky Nod32 For a FREE Anti-Virus use one of the following: Avast Avira Avg Avira (the FREE version only has Virus and Rookit protection, but it has slightly higher detection rates than Avast, however Avast has every feature, including Virus, Spyware, Rookit, Adware, Malware etc. Every Anti-Virus program protects you in a different way. I have used All the above Anti-Virus programs and they all do a good job. Avg isn't my favorite choice but is ok for average users. For people that do a lot of online gaming, Nod32 is the best as it uses the lowest amount of memory. For people wanting the BEST FREE Anti-Virus, Avast is my choice. For those people using Avg, i recommend you should have a back-up program as its detection rates, and protection is very poor, i recommend A-Squared Free or SuperAntiSpyware. You will always be better off with PAID for applications as you are paying for protection, so its their job to protect you in the most best posible way. However Avast seems to be a good Anti-Virus considering its free with all the protection you need. I use Nod32 because it uses the lowest possible memory, and scans really quick. I hope this helps you.

AVG free and just as good as Norton and McAffee which I used to pay for.
-
I don't at home and NEVER have gotten a virus. If you are safe (ie don't download that free game, quit going to porn sites, know that no one is going to give you a million dollars). Virus works because people are stupid.
-
McAfee, have had no problems with it
-
Avast pro, works very well better than McAfee
-
Avast -- it works and it's free
-
I use none. Because I use Linex and Ubuntu and Firefox. Never got a virus in my system ever since I switched over from Windows! Thats 3 years!
-
I use Spyware. It isn't too bad and the person who sold us the computer put it on and we haven't change it yet.
-
McAfee and no problem
-
I use Care1 by Microsoft. Its also a maintenance utility which you can set automatic to keep you computer running smoothly, and you can monitor several users if you choose, sort of like a server.
-
I've been using Grisoft AVG because it is free and it seems to work as well at the commercial biggies. I think I will be switching to Avast because it is also free and it seems to pick up a few things AVG misses.
-
I use Microsoft Windows Defender and Microsoft Windows Malicious Software removal tool, both of which are free. I also use McAfee and Stinger which is also a product of McAfee. Why? If a stranger wants to come into my yard, without an invention, I'm not going to put up fence post, I'm going to build a fence. That's why I have more than I need. Just in case. Have a nice day.
-
I use McAfee because I think its the best one.
-
Avira. A freebie that, for me, works better than AVG.
-
At home, it's a Computer Associates bundle - anti-virus, firewall and pop-up blocker. My ISP provides it free of charge.
-
Kaspersky. Because I've never had a problem with it. :)
-
Nod32 Smart Security and here's why: www.av-comparatives.org But really an antivirus is only a part of a securty solution. I actually run Windows virtually on a Mandriva machine and it's only Windows that requires the antivirus, antimalware and antirootkit solution. You need a lot more than just an antivirus to protect a Windows machine.
-
well I think it is using me with all the required downloads... but to answer your second question... its free!
-
Forefront
-
Kaspersky, its a very good antivirus program, the part i like about it though is you can disable to where it does not start with windows. You can run it on demand.
-
The XP on my virtual machine resets the hard drive every time it boots, so removing malware is a matter of restarting it. My dual-boot XP operates off-line, so the only way it could infected is if I brought a virus to it myself. And my main OS is Arch Linux which is immune to viruses.
-
I use SpyBot and Avast. Also I like to scan my system regularly with Dr Web, which is very thorough but slow - it takes about 8 hours.
