Guilty! I dont throw away books. You never know when you may read them or want to lend them out.

I don't throw my books away! I either keep them or donate them! Are you crazy?! Throwing your books away...
-
I never throw any book in the trash. There are too many ways to recycle them.
-
I don't toss them. I've donated hundreds of books to the county complex (old folks home and jail). They don't care if the books are out of date. They just enjoy reading whatever they can get. +2

Why Throw away a good book, out of date or not?

I dont think I've ever thrown a book away. If I dont think I'll re-read them I donate them to charity, but books should never be just thrown in the trash.
-
Who says they are out of date? I have hundreds of books and when they start to take up too much space I give them away to others or take them to a charity shop...throwing books away should be made a mortal sin!

i hold on to books longer than most folks. i think that the last book i threw out was the guttenberg bible (ok, i'm not quite T_H_A_T old. i never throw books away. i have donated several hundred books to my old church before i moved. i now hold onto maybe 4,000 books. i toss out mail order catalogs before they even get in my house.

A book called Corpse: Nature, Forensics, And The Struggle To Pinpoint Time Of Death by Jessica Snyder Sachs. It was publishing in 2002. I only threw it out because my cat vomitted all over it. I generally do not through books out.

I threw away a Bible once. Well, to be fair, I recycled it. That's the only book I've ever trashed.

I take issue with your claim that books go out of date, they never go out of date. Even factual books on current affairs will remain relevent even once the subject matter has moved on. I never throw books away =)
