  • No, I personally think health care should be for nothing, just because we do pay taxes and some people have a lot of bills to take care of, so it's not really good for people who can't afford things because it's just harderr to live. The government should pay for it, with all the money they make from everything and all the money they put, who knows where.
  • yes I would. I have seen too many people not get needed medical care and so I gladly would.
  • Yep. I wouldn't be so selfish that I'd let people die or sit at home feeling seriously ill if I could help it!
  • If you are referring to USA, that is already happening. A typical hospital system collects half of what it bills. Self-pays are collected about 10 per cent. If you are hospitalized, most systems will write off a certain percent based on previous years income. As a single person that would have started at 25 per cent off at 40k US per year. Care for those who cannot afford is part of a nonprofit hospital system's obligation in exchange for that status. Indigent care in USA, without months-long waiting lists, is far superior to governmentalized healthcare where it has been implemented. When our system is wrecked, where will Canadian hospitals send people for MRIs, CTs, multiple-birth pregnancies, etc.?
