I'd give him more than a year. His programs would work if people were working with him. No doubt some racist douchebag is going to downrate me for showing some small measure of support.

Yes I will give him a year or more, being President seems to mean you have all the problems of the universe blamed on you and I do not think that that is fair.

It took a long time to screw it up so I'll give him plenty of time to fix it. Where were these douchebags when W was spending billions on a war that took our eye off the ball?

Every president gets handed a plateful of turds when they take office. There has never been a time when everything was just ducky in my lifetime, and I'm sure those before me didn't think they got handed a plateful of roses either. Roosevelt got handed the Great Depression and WWII, Truman got handed the job of finishing the war. Eisenhower got handed an economy in disarray after the Depression and the War, Kennedy got handed the Cold War and the Cuban Missile Crisis. Johnson and Nixon got handed the Vietnam War, which Kennedy got us into. Ford and Carter got handed the oil embargo and energy crisis. Reagan got the tail end of that and a deep recession caused by it. Every president gets handed a plateful of turds. Just because you don't like George Bush, that doesn't mean that he is the only president who ever had to leave unfinished business for the next president or who ever had people disagree with his policies. Looking at things that way will cloud your judgement.
