  • Hello Marguerite. I have narrowed it down to three. 1. Catcher in the rye. J.D. Salinger. Timeless!! 2 The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald, I really like the setting. 3. 1984, George Orwell. Brilliant... I am sure there are many others to add to the list, these were the ones that came to mind first.... Have a Great Day!!!
  • Like designer is smiling, I'm very partial to The Great Gatsby and 1984. I recommend the former to people who want to read a literary classic that's not hard going--it's such an easy read that at first one may not realize how beautifully written it is. As for 1984, its only shortcoming is that the title was premature by 25 years.
