Michigan topped 10% in January of this year; NJ hit 9.7% last month, but let me tell you, I live here and that number IS WRONG. I know SOOOO many people that are out of work, and many many others that are working part-time where they used to be Full time. Adjusted for the full time jobs that have been converted to part time and I'd bet NJ is closer to 15% or higher. With nearly 10 million people living in this state, we make up a significant portion of the unemployed nationally.

yep. but, imagine the unemployment rate in china now that the US can't buy their products.

I sure hope it turns around for the better. There are some signs that some things are starting to turn around -- although slowly.

no it wont. it's at peak now as per my opinion.

No idea as this will not effect me

Per media reports it's getting close. But looking at the picture of those who have quit looking for fulltime work and took part-time, it's now 17% or so...

At the rate it's going up, it's like ly hit 17%. Coincidentally, if the current trend continues, it'll hit that mark at about the same time The Great One's approval ratings hits that same number. Yep, 4.2% unemployment, aka full employment, going to high double digit unemployment is certainly some change we all could believe in.
