I cut mine out.
Hiya, SPQ! Sometimes, I DO notice them. Usually, it;s when I'm wearing a material that easily slips around, anyway, such as a rayon or satin. The shoulder pads can then be kind of an annoyance, but it really isn't all their fault :) +5
Right now I am trying to think if any of my blazers have them in. I am sure they must do, so I guess I must be entirely unaware!
I don't wear them.=) +5
I notice them in others because if I wore them, I would look like a quarterback. I'm glad they're coming back in. Style lately has been blah. So next, bellbottoms? +5
Oh I notice them...every time I bang my head from side to side into my shoulders I think to myself "I'm glad I didn't get the ones with spikes!!"
Guilty as Charged!!!:):)
I have worn a gorgeous fitted jacket of my mums but the shoulder pads i couldn't handle! I naturally have kind of broad shoulders for a girl and as i'm short wearing shoulder pads seems to make me feel even smaller lol :) +5
yeah ... i do notice them
The last time they were in clothes was 20 years ago.
Hey SPQ. I LOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEE your new avatar. Where in the world did you find such a special one :)
Oh,I'm aware!!!I duct taped 2 couch cushions to my shoulders and if I jump up and down,I can make change for a dollar!!;)
I tend not to notice them to be honest SPQ - nor do the other people on my planet.......LOL
None of my clothes have shoulder pads. Should I go out and buy some and sew them on?
Only a few of my jackets still have it. I honestly dont notice them.
It's been so long since I've worn them I really don't know. I dress pretty casually, Now kneepads? I .....better not comment :)
I don't wear them!!!!;D
I dont have many clothes with pads BUT when I do wear them,I feel powerfull!
Now that I think about it I actually don't wear any clothes with shoulder pads.

I don't have them in many items..but some clothes do come slighty padded and yes I notice..and think of you instantly :D :D
Hi ShoulderPadQueen! Actually I don't wear many clothes with shoulder pads, except the occasional suit. My summer, and casual apparel, and my work clothes do not include shoulder pads. I am quite comfortable in my diverse clothing, and while I am aware of unique aspects of each, am not overly conscious of shoulder pads in a suit jacket. Good question! +5 :-)
um did they not go out with the 80's?? +4 for nostalgia
Not many of my outfits have them anymore, as they are a little outdated. But, when I did I was always aware because they used to slip alot.
I do not even own any clothes with shoulderpads. I dont think I would either :)
I do not notice them. I walk very square shouldered and upright anyway because of dancing for so many years They seem quite natural to me.
Shoulderpad aren't a problem for me. It's that rolled up sock that I strategically stick in my underdrawers that's uncomfortable. :-)

I don't notice them at all after lke 30 minutes
Like shoulderpads under clothing? Um, when I did wear them, back in the 80s and 90s, I did notice them a bit because they tend to bunch up, especially after you wash them.
I don't like shoulder pads period. I've cut them out of the few clothing items that had them.
I just love you passion SPQ. If I wore them Id not notice them.
I have no choice but to notice them
you started stitching pins into them lol
I am always aware of them because people are busy staring at my SPI's at not at my eyes. It's a curse, but yet it looks great,so it's worth it.
...mine were cut out & used as "nipple pads" inside my bra until I discovered "Walco bras that are made thick enough that is all you need...for those who have...shall we say, erect little soldiers beyond the call of duty..."...LOL...bet you didn't expect an answer like this, ShoulderPad....BTW...one day teaching (8th greade)...I looked down at the floor & saw one of those cut out shoulder pads (that had apparently somehow worked it's way out of my bra)...I kept teaching & nonchanlantly scooped in up in the middle of a lesson...no one noticed...but don't think I ever was comfortable wearing them again..lol...
Unfortunately, I can't wear them. I have no shoulders. I'm just a face.
Shoulderpads?! Are they back in style now? Why?!
I am sorry to say that I cut mine out too!
*is ashamed*
I dont notice them after a few minutes.
I don't have any shoulder pads. Maybe I should get some since you own a pair, it might make a nice trend lol.
I don't wear them. :D
hmm on others maybe, i cut them out of my clothes :P +6
Why am I not surprised that you ask this question? LOL, well, I only have shoulder-pads on some jackets and coats...and no, I don't notice them since they are sewn in between the liner and the actual...like they're not flopping around or anything. I don't like shoulder-pads!
I thought those stopped when Dynasty ended.

time to buy some new clothes
I only seem to notice when they have turned round in the wash.
What I notice is that those women who wear them seem somewhat less feminine to me than those who don't. That is because I associate them with Joan Crawford in the 40's and she always played a tough broad. It's weird that I would think of her every time...I guess her shoulderpads were enormously big and I remember focusing on them rather than on her in the movie. Now, I don't think that was what the fashion designer or director necessarily wanted but that's all I ever remember seeing was the shoulderpads. They were a star in their own right and always stole the scenes from Joanie! :)
hi rosie, never wore shoulderpads before but i thought i might mention that i used to wear my kneepads at times when seeing my bank manager, lol
I don't notice them the majority of the time. I have owned a few shirts that gave me 'fits' with the shoulderpads! I'd say 98% of the time, I don't notice them.
+5 ShoulderPadQueen!!! (((HUG)))
If they are huge, then I am aware of them, as I keep seeing them out of the corner of my eye - and I find it difficult to walk through doors
