To a degree...if people want to hate on others, or lie about others...then I don't think they should be able to do whatever they want, when they want
-
Yes, because there are a lot of maniacs in the world. Keep your identity a secret.
-
Sorry to say, but Internet is not anonymous. Most everything you do can be traced.
-
From the rest of the general internet population, yes. I don't think internet anonymity should protect anyone who has committed a crime though.
-
They don't, If necessary internet users can be tracked using their I/D. One is issued usually for every session and it can be traced back to your computer. Internet sites often use this I/D to target the user with appropriate regional advertising. But to get to your computer often the co-operation of your access provider is required.

It would be nice, but there are times that people need to be tracked down what then? Basically you can have some level of Anonymity but in the end you still need some way to track and stop the crooks/child molesters and such.
-
yes, cause if not they will just lie about who they are anyway so whats the difference.
-
Why? Not many people can answer the why? question satisfactorily. If you want to be hidden then there are plenty of ways to do it plenty of better paid ways to do it but to make it an automatic right, not any more than making walking into a bank with a helmet or latex face to avoid cameras or nervousness legal. People just want to step outside democratic laws without realising you need to give up democracy to live how you please as an outlaw.
-
not if you are a pedophile..we should be able to hunt you down at all costs
