Why is it that girls would rather date assholes, assuming the assholes cannot be hurt (despite that they hurt the girls), and won't date "nice guys" in fear of hurting them? :( I feel I'm just destined to be alone.

because women are jackasses and when they finally wake up one day and realize that they are with a horrible jackass of a husband they will get a divorce then search for the "nice guys" they should have been looking for in the first place

Because their the "toughguys" also the nioce guys end up being the great guys, but they don't usually notice that till its to late.

we date the bad boys, because they give us butterflies, but we marry the nice guys. Just be patient. When those silly girls wise up, you'll be very popular. It not for fear of hating them, its because they are kind of boring. So, be more exciting. Dont be an abusive jerk, but, maybe take Karate, join a band, get a motorcycle, get a cool haircut, invest in some nice clothes (Macy's has the best clothes at best price, everything goes on sale) Take up a cool hobby, something you really like and can take pride in.

Because the assholes are also usually the "alpha males" of a group. They kind of get there by being assholes, and women are attracted to it. The sad part is that they do usually come around in the end, but it is too late. By that time, they are usually quite a bit older, with a few kids. Not that that's a bad thing, but most guys want to start a family of their own, fairly early on.

alot of the 'nice' guys i've met are not actually nice, they are passive or passive-aggressive. not saying you are. i don't know you. i don't think it's true that all women want to date assholes, you may be confusing it with dominance in some cases (or maybe the women you're talking about are confusing it) and dominance is generally a trait that women find desirable in men. i'd say be sure you're sending clear messages and don't beat around the bush about what you want from dating. good luck. and also, don't be ridiculous. you are so not gonna be alone forever.

What makes you think the guys girls date are assholes? Maybe your perspective is warped. Sometimes confident guys are viewed as assholes by timid, pathetic guys. Is that a possibility? Just asking.

I dont have the answers or a solution just wanted to tell you hang in there your not alone and when you have that ephinany let the rest of us letting ourselves become victims know what to live toward and like now.they say i am seen as the kind pretty beautiful ect. but really am tomorrows lunch and next years headline. the answer is to be alone for awhile and clear your head gain some goals and succeed at being you for a spell. I am striving to succeed right along with you one day at a time
