  • Just so you know, it was written back in 39, and recorded by Solomon Linda & The Evening Birds. The song was named "Mbube". (1st video) Then, Pete Seeger and the Weavers recorded it in 1952 (2nd video) New lyrics were written based on the story about the song by Pete Seeger, and The Tokens recorded it in 1961.
