Well if we did that we wouldn't get any more dignitaries from other countries to come visit us, thats a very tricky ground arresting a foreign dignitarie of any type. We would have to be in a state of war with the country before this would happen, and then i can guess you would realize he wouldn't come and visit us.

If the US started arresting people it dislikes, even if they have committed no crime, then it would be sinking as low as many of the countries it criticises. Not only that but it would expose every American citizen travelling abroad to all kinds of retributions.

As tempting as it might be such tactics are not in our long term interests. Instead we should send him home and declare war on Iran. Unlike our strategy in Iraq we should not attempt to win their hearts and minds. We should attempt to win their dead bodies. No ground war is necessary. Key targets should include population centers, infrastructure, and religious centers.

For what? Law enforcement in his country detained people who broke the law. Yep, they did it accidentally, but they still crossed the border, which is against the law there. Is the president of the US responsible for every person arrested in the US? No. Why is this different for the Iranian president? You can't just call for the arrest of someone because you don't like them, sorry. If America can unjustly imprison the innocent, why can't Iran?
