  • The "family value" party proved themselves hypocrites long before most people even heard of ACORN.
  • Yes. Certainly. No doubt about it. Take it to the bank...it won't bounce! :)
  • Of course. Let's see....they go after the poor, the old, the children, the defenseless, and they are ruthless. I'll bet those who made those videos are the same ones who taped Obama saying that Kanye West was a jackass. It seems too evident that the Republicans are trying to stir things up so no one will notice the underhanded things they do. Sorry fellows, you underestimate the American people. "You may fool some of the people some of the time, but you can't fool all of the people all of the time."
  • Yes. Actual use of dominatrices and paid submissives is more like it, though. Sadomasochism is what defines the essential character of today's Republican. They’re sadistic in that they lash out at people who are weaker than themselves: the poor, the homeless, the handicapped, any kind of minority, homosexuals, immigrants, foreigners, the under and uninsured, the under and unemployed, the foreclosed upon, and any ideology they consider non-aggressive and therefore weak. They actually attempted to legalize torture. At the same time, they’re masochistic. They are followers of extraconstitutional "higher" causes, antidemocratic "strongman" leaders, magic helpers like James Dobson, Douglas and David Coe, or the macho Jesus archetype that they worship. This is what defines this political movement. The party followers are perfect submissives to the bullies such as Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc., whom they idolize. (Who, with any kind of self esteem at all, would proudly call themselves dittoheads?) Left to their own devices, this materializes again and again among their minions in the sadism of Abu Ghraib, the well-documented behaviour of rogue Blackwater agents, and the homosexual sadomasochistic and scatological rituals performed by the ArmorGroup's privately contracted guards at the American embassy at Kabul. Not surprisingly, the personal lives and crimes of their touts, party leaders, and Christian fundamentalist followers blatantly reveal these same tendencies: http://dkosopedia.com/wiki/Republican_Sex_Scandals http://www.francesfarmersrevenge.com/stuff/archive/oldnews2/boystown/ http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7231286 Republicans who "stray from the path," have a very powerful protector working in their favor. Variously known as The Family, The Fellowship, and a dozen or more other names, this highly secretive Christian fundamentalist group has been influencing US government policy for decades. It came into the spotlight this summer as their "Prayer House on C Street" made headlines where Republican Congressman Chip Pickering and Republican Senator John Ensign lived while they were involved in extra-marital affairs. Pickering admitted bringning his mistress to his room at the C Street house. It is also where Republican Governor Mark Sanford went for "counseling" during his sex scandal. Masochism again raises its ugly head in the form of self flagellation when these men supplicate themselves first to the Family in confession, then to the public in general. The most blatant being the recent very public self-pilloring of the Reverend Tim Haggard on various TV talk shows after being caught up in a homosexual affair and meth scandal two years ago. The Family has been around since 1935 and has demonstrated heavy political influence in Washington since at least 1953. Proponents of militant Christian fundamentalism, its leadership has stated that emulating the tactics of leaders like Adolf Hitler, Pol Pot, and Osama bin Laden are viable means of meeting their goal of a fundamentalist Christian world under the leadership of the United States. Son of Family head Douglas Coe, David Coe, has suggested that members of the Family "are here to learn how to rule the world." They have a long history of protecting and advising Republican politicians who run into trouble. The "counseling" they receive involves confession which leaves these politicians open to blackmail, a technique of political influence that this group has no objection to using in light of their affinity with the most sadistic, unscrupulous, megalomaniacal leaders in history according to the statements of their leadership. Here is some information and history on this group: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Family_(Christian_political_organization) Bio of The Family's Present Leader and His Family: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Douglas_Coe The Family was recently infiltrated by reporter Jeff Sharlet. Here is an article describing some observations he made during his stay with the Family: http://www.harpers.org/archive/2003/03/0079525
  • New Jersey Governor Jim McGreevey, John Edwards, Bill Clinton, John Kennedy, MAYOR KWAME KILPATRICK, Eliot Spitzer, Democrat Congressman Tim Mahoney (D-Fl.), Rep. Barney Frank., Former Rep. Gus Savage., Former Rep. Mel Reynolds., Former Rep. Gerry Studds etc. - But oh yeah it is always a republican in the sex scandals. They all do it. Power corrupts.
  • It's kind of hard though not to apply those traits to almost everybody. Immoral is a matter of perspective. Sex-crazed is natural. Criminality is inadequately determined by society, like drug laws. And hypocrisy runs almost as rampant as ignorance. . That being said, the GOP is trying to bring everyone else down with them. If we're all as bad as they are, then we won't have an "evil gauge" to place them on. For instance, if they are able to successfully analogize Obama with Hitler, of course it would make the GOP look more saintly. +3
  • Personally I believe there is dirt/mud/sleaze/ugliness on both sides...whether it is exactly equal I don't know but it doesn't matter. All of what we know so far is just the tip of the iceberg anyway. I don't think there is a way to quantify it. Each side takes every opportunity to jump on anything/everything to make the other side look bad. Maybe one party makes up more lies or maybe they just do it less artfully and they only seem more inept. :(
  • Both sides are sex crazed. But the "big bad liberal media" only pays attention to what the Democrats do. http://www.republicanoffenders.com/ One question? Which party holds itself up to be the party of "Family Values"?
