Is there a way to 100% absolutely delete files from the computer? Not just clearing the recycle bin.

I used to forget to empty mine, so I just set mine up so that *anything* dragged to the bin is deleted instantly.
The way I see it, anything in there was put there for a reason.

Good point. I don't do that when I'm deliberately cleaning out files and such, though. Sometimes I get a bit over zealous and accidentally delete stuff I really didn't mean to!

Hazzards of using "Ctrl A" immediately before "Delete"!

Ah. I generally either Ctrl-click individual files or just trash the entire directory from one level up.
Then again, I often use my Delete key instead of dragging them into the bin in he first place.

That's how I usually delete...a specific file or folder at a time. All my deleted stuff automatically goes to the Recycle Bin (unless it's too large).
.
Then I clear the bin out later.
