If dinosaurs really existed why are they not in the Bible?

Because the Bible is not a history text. It is scripture which of course contains references to historical places and events, but it is neither comprehensive nor scientific about history -- nor should it be, as that's not the purpose of scripture (that's the purpose of history texts).

Serouisly, can you not figure this one out? It was wrote by a guy who did not even know the world was round? It was wrote in Anceint hebrew and I do not even think they had a term for Dinos back then? The bible is a work of man by man, get it out of your head that God wrote it,

They were pre-man. When the world was being formed. You have to understand that when the bible says that all thigs were created in 6 days that they weren't 6 lteral days. It was a figure of speach, as in; back in my day when I was just a child...some think that it was 1000 yeras others think longer. There are many analogies and parrables in the bible, I believe this to be just one of them.

Because dinosaurs died out some 100 million years before humans appeared. The guys who wrote the bible had never heard of them.

I don't think it mentions wombats either - Maybe these creatures are just not that relevant to the bible's message for mankind and so do not appear in the book for that simple reason. OK, that's enough with the devil's advocate, 'helpful', let's play along answer but SERIOUSLY, are you from Texas or what? 'IF dinosaurs existed'?? You can't seriously deny the evidence they did. I'm as patient with religious folk as is kindly for the most part but questions like this make me groan. When people wrote the bible the existence of dinosaurs was unknown to us, as is blindingly obvious I would have thought. The bible's a charming relic of an age when man needed religion to understand and rationalise the world but why on Earth do people still hang onto it's every word? Watch the downrates pour in folks.

No one knew of the existence of dinosaurs when the Christian bible was written, so naturally the scriptures the bible is based upon did not mention it. The scriptures functioned as historical, cultural and legal documents before the scientific method allowed us to catalog and categorize knowledge. Though some people still regard their culture's ancient scriptures as meaningful historical record, they pale in comparison to even an elementary school library, in terms of providing accurate and useful information.

Your question seems to imply that everything that exists or has ever existed should be mentioned in the bible. - Why would that be true? - Squirrels aren't mentioned,... Hiccups are never mentioned,... Volcanoes are never mentioned,... - We know that dinosaurs existed, because we've found their fossilized remains. There's nothing in the bible that indicates that they didn't exist. Really,...there's no conflict between the two.

The word "dinosaur" was coined in the mid 1800s. The word literally means powerful lizard, and therefore it is not found in the Bible anymore than trains, planes and automobiles.

because the bible was written by some opium addict (explaining his creative imagination) somewhere near the medditeranean around some time before common era (b.c.e)... now see around that time there was no such thing as science because people literally shunned it (had it not been shunned every society would be farther advanced). because of the shun and the fact that people back then were to ignorant to acknowledge the previous existence of anything, they had no idea what a dinosaur was meaning that that word literally nothing to them. I think it's time you pull your head out of your ass, open your eyes take a look at reality
