The yellow spot must be some pigment deposition , i cannot say conclusively which unless it is seen.
It could or could not be related to the accident you had, but if it is not causing any disturbance in sight after so many years, do not worry.
On the other hand, you can see an opthalmologist if you feel concerned about it.
Do not try to get rid of it if it NOT causing you problems.
