What are some ways we can effectively combat corporate greed, aside from not purchasing their products (which doesn't seem to be working)?

The political norm now is to make sure that that does not happen. If you notice America has been to become fiscal conservative. I am not saying that is a bad thing. You should never spend more than you make and credit is BS! If you want to humble them a little more it will take the whole country. Just keep not buying crap you do not need, use CASH not credit! They want you in debt up to your eyes, if you use cash you can not buy if you don't have any. Stop eating out, buy local as in buy directly from farmers markets and mom and pop shops. You have to completely cut the "corporate umbilical cord"! Yes it is less convenient, but that is where they get you! I think most American's will continue to fill these stores for years to come! That in turn will hurt us all. I know this is not exactly what you wanted but I hope it sparks some ideas for ya.

well, according to my opinion it is the corporate greed made capitalist economy otherwise we would be ended up in stupid socialism.
