  • Who would starve? Are there people who don't eat anything but meat?? To me, your question has no logic
  • No problem. I was vegetarian for 15 years. The biggest problem with being vegetarian is living in a world full of meat eaters. Having to search through restaurant menus for veggie items, or check packaging to see whether they used animal fats. Having people tell you how stupid you are to be veggie. Walking past delicious cooking meat smells when you are hungry. If the world was veggie, all these problems would go away. There is *tons* of lovely veggie food - you just have to keep pushing the meat out of the way to find it.
  • I'd choose option c, realise that they are politicians and are, therefore, talking out of their backsides. I'd just carry on eating meat. (I can see the minuses coming even as I type).
  • I don't care what a bunch of politicians say. We were designed to be omnivores. We humans are designed to eat both plants and animals. So, I am going to continue to eat both. ****************** "butterfly424: then you will end up dead." Why? ****************** "lady fuschia: Because the meat is poison presumably. That's assuming they're telling the truth obviously, which is anyone's guess." The fact that people have been eating meat for as long as recorded history with out it killing us shows that it is not poison. Therefore, the politicians are obvious saying this for some reason that has nothing to do with the suitability of meat as a food source. ********** "butterfly424: if some one poisoned it??`??" Poisoning the entire meat supply would be extremely difficult to impossible.
  • I'm already vegetarian, so I probably wouldn't give a damn. If it really was proven to be poison (world leaders tell us a lot of things, doesn't mean they're true) I can't imagine that anyone sane would either starve or eat poisoned meat - I man, what human being lives off meat alone anyway? Even the most comitted carnivores have bread with their burgers.
  • I have no problem becoming a vegetarian. I'll be much healthier.
  • Chuckled--true
  • Actually if the leaders of the planet said that all meat was "poisson" then at last we could live on an all seafood diet for all meat is now classified fish! Be that as it may, all foods and all substances are poison if ingested in large enough quantities - even water and oxygen. TOXICOLOGY 101: There are no unsafe substances; there are only unsafe levels. The "leaders" of the planet have no more authority to change that than they have to change the value of PI.
  • I already eat heaps of vegies. But if I go without meat for a couple of days I feel significantly weaker, so I think I'd be looting people's houses in order to get enough money to buy some meat on the black market. Otherwise I'll just have to bust into rich peoples homes. I don't think they'll be going without.
  • I'd eat it anyway. Better to die happy than live miserably.
  • I would continue to eat as I currently do while enjoying the great improvement of the environment within a few short years! Just think how much better the world would be!
  • Well, if a president said it, and the FDA and other like organizations didn't, I'd continue eating whatever I wanted. The world leaders don't specialize in food, but if food organizations backed them up, I'd give up meat. If all the meat was poisoned, who would eat it? That's ridiculous and suicidal, lol.
  • Come on. No one is that addicted to meat that they have to have an ultimatum. Where is your conscience? Look at how animals are bred in captivity for meat and chicken and if that doesn't make you stop well maybe poison's not such a bad idea for these people who would rather have a burger than look at a cow who has never had the chance to exercise its poor legs because it has never been let out of a two by four cage unless it is to recieve a beating or something. It makes the Nazi's look humane. It must stop now.
  • First of all, I would know that that would be complete and utter bullsh**t. But assuming for this question that it was true, I think anyone would do whatever it took to stay alive. It's survival instinct.
  • You forgot one catagory. Omnivores that survive on vegetables. People do it all the time when meat is scarce or unavailable. No one is going to starve when one of our food sources dries up.
