  • red beans, chick peas, pasta sauce, winter vegies and some spices all thrown into one. i'm vego but i eat this quite often :)

  • Add meat of your choice, a veggie, chicken broth and soy sauce....game on
  • A quick stir-fry with frozen shrimp and some vegies (carrots, cabbage, red bell pepper, green onions). Add in some spice blend (curry or Thai blend), or add some hoisin sauce and some hot sauce or red pepper flakes. YUM
  • Why bother? Throw in a some butter, salt and better. One order of "Rice Orgy".
  • Well it's a breakfast idea, but in my family we sometimes did it for the other two meals sometimes when low on money. I love it so sometimes I'd make a little bit for an after school snack before I hit the fitness club. Boil white rice until it's firm, but not too squishy. Just right. Whatever just right is to you :) Strain it. Scoop into serving bowls. Real butter or fake, put just a dab (teaspoon/tablespoon...whatever suits you and the amount of rice...shouldn't be a lot or it'll taste like butter) in the middle for the person to mix in how he/she likes...or they can remove it. Personally I like that hint of taste, and it makes the rice not stick together. **You don't NEED to put butter/fake butter in if you don't want to. Pour as much or as little milk into the bowl of rice & butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar. Try just a light sprinkle at first and adjust to suit your taste. Enjoy :)
