Solid Golds' "hund n flocken" Is IMO the best, in dry and cans. really expensive. Right now my boys are on Iams dry mini-chunks w/ the occasional can of Alpo or Iams or Solid Gold. Oh and a plain bagel that I just shared today.

Mostly meat, as they are very recent mutations away from a carnivorous species. Keep any grains in the diet minimal and mostly for roughage. I recommend anything except beef.

Oh yes! A Species Appropriate RAW DIET! 80% meat/10% bone/10% organs! http://www.api4animals.org/facts.php?p=359&more=1 http://www.skylarzack.com/rawfeeding.htm http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawfeeding/ http://www.rawfeddogs.net/Recipes http://www.homevet.com/petcare/foodbook.html My Raw Fed dogs and cats are enjoying far better health, stronger immune systems, clean teeth without expensive dental work, they shed less, are the correct weights, have better energy and better focus when training, poop less...and the dog poop turns to dust in about 3 to 4 days...POOF! The one cat that used to have chronic monthly urinary problems...crystals HAS NOT HAD ONE SINGLE PROBLEM since the last one cleared up a month into her diet change...well over a year ago! AND...I save money not only on Vet Bills, but on the food its self! To day I am picking up about 75 POUNDS of hormone free, grass fed BEEF...FOR FREE from posting a WANTED, unwanted, old, freezer burned meats. on craigslist...and I picked up another 45 pounds of beautiful deer meat from an ad on my local Freecycle group here! I usually SPEND about $35 to $65 on meats and cat litter now (obviously, this haul will set a new LOW in my outgoing funds...as this may keep them happy till early spring!) My old kibble/canned bill (w/cat litter) was $75 to $125 per month before...for 2 dogs and 4 cats... Dogs and cats are DESIGNED to eat and digest MEAT,BONES AND ORGANS! Digestively, dogs are wolves! There are NO kibble trees in nature and little elves do not COOK beautiful raw meats for the wild meat eaters! It's almost a no brainer!
