  • Yes I would. I find humor in many, many things, some appropriate and some not, but laughing at the true story of a child's death is disgusting.
  • Yes, I'm sure I would feel anger. This would be a sick person.
  • Wouldn't it be better to contact a CL or feedback if you find it offensive? Hardly anybody wants to get in the middle of a pissing contest.
  • Dark humour does tend to make some people angry, but personally, you over reacted big time and now are bringing that drama into the public realm. If you have a problem with someone use the feedback at the bottom of the page to inform the moderators or take it up with that person in private.
  • no i wouldn't. i believe humor has no bounds. . long as you're not laughing at the face of those who are harmed by it, there's no evil in the joke in and of itself. . if it was me, i wouldn't be able to crack jokes about it, obviously. i'd also respond rather violently if someone cracked such a joke in front of me. . but i still support people's right to find humor wherever the may, long as they don't harm me in the process.
  • Read the joke, no I wasn't really offended, I have heard worse that weren't jokes. Sometimes its easier for some people to joke about tragedy then it is to actually face the reality, and some people just have warped senses of humor. Now I didn't find it funny, but the only time I find it offensive is when people spout off crap like that and they actually mean it. Actually kind of understand his reasoning behind it as well, the death was brought up as an inflammatory jab at people who spank, so someone threw out an equally inflammatory joke. (Actually I find your serious comparison more offensive and I don't use spanking, my parents spanked, never beat, and were amazing parents, so thanks for comparing my parents to child killing abusers)
  • regardless of what i think, the fact that you argued with each other over what looks the space of a week is pretty sad.
