My girlfriend and I have tipped as much as $20 for wonderful service. But we normally stick to the usual 20%.

Yes & yes. For me, everyone starts out at 20%. Their tip increases or decreases from there, based upon service, attitude, menu knowledge, and overall attentiveness. If all's well, a tip of 30% ensues.

yes i have and i always tip really good and for a good tip it would be 30-40% =)
