Car rental places are now charging $250 fee if you smoke in their cars. What are your thoughts on this?

I think it makes sense. It is not your car, so you shouldn't be smoking in it. If you do, so the company has to take on the cost of getting the ash and smell out, you should have to cover the cost. It is either that or have smoking and non-smoking cars like they have hotel rooms.

I'm all for it ! Nothing like getting into a car that is all smelly from SMOKE ..... I think they need to charge $1,000 !! +5

It's about time! Hotels have been doing this for years now...it's too hard when you are dealing with the public. Everyone can put up with a clean smell, but few can put up with a smoke smell and some are allergic!

rip off!, instead of this stupid fee how about keeping some cars for smokers to rent out .. to me that makes a hell of a lot more sense than this discrimination against smokers
