only if it is someone i know in real life or in person. if i haven't met this person before or i don't have any real connection with them then its understandable.

I wouldn't feel tooo bad. Some people reserve it for only really close friends, so they don't have to read through tons of posts from aquaintances to see the ones they really care about on a daily basis.

I do not use social networking sites. But even if I did, I do not tend to send out friendship requests - even here on AB I do not think i have ever sent out a friend request - I just wait until people come to me.

Yes, really bad, but only if it's family. I've already has 6 semi-close blood relatives reject me, with not even a note of explanation. It really hurts deep down. I feel like, if I've done something wrong to them, why can't they just tell me what it is, because I have no idea? It seems like non blood treats you better than blood. I'm a pretty likable person, not an ogre or anything. Maybe they're just stuck up. People tell me to not dwell on it, that "They ain't worth it". Tha'ts easier said than done. Or the ones that tell you, "Well, if they don't want your friendship, that's their loss, not yours." It doesn't feel that way though, to me. It feels like they stepped on you and spat on you.
