  • It does carry a different sentence. But since your asking if it should. It is an opinion question. Lots of possible answers from people. In the US if someone commits rape, of an underage person no less, the charges are different and general more intense compared to robbing a person. In the current system of law the person would be charged separately of murder and then of the secondary crime. But the secondary crime would go to possible motive of the first offense. The penalties would end up encompassing both such as 10 years for rape and 50 years for murder, etc-- I'm pretty sure. I'm not a lawyer though ;)
