  • No, I don't.
  • No,have not deleted anyone
  • no i keep mine, im not here for the points thats not what AB is all about................. to me that is. just what what i think no one has to agree with me.
  • Nope. Read my profile. I don't have points as a criteria for people to be added to my list, so I won't remove them for it either. :):):)
  • No, I have never deleted anyone from my friends' list. People on my list are those here whom I've interacted with on questions, answers and comments. I really don't know if they awarded me points or not - I enjoyed our conversations and exchanges of information. +5
  • Are you a points-whore? Do you care more about popularity than content? Before you answer, I want you to consider the source. Look at MY profile. Don't get me wrong, I have deleted MANY people from my friends list, but they were not really friends. I consider that list to be reserved for people I have at least some sort of ongoing relationship with. Now, how many AB-ers have you spent hours on the phone with? Had a beer with? Slept with? Okay, there is only one here that bears THAT distinction, just as there is only one (a different one) who ever carried me into their car and "escorted" me home after downing a bottle of Wild Spirit. But my point is that I don't keep people on my friends list just to claim that I have 8324 friends; I keep them there because I like them. And like I said in a comment before, if I *really* cared about points then I would outrank Firebrand by a long shot. I think I've been here longer than some of the admins....
  • I don't delete people from my friends list. (Ok... I deleted ONE person once, but he's back, hopefully lesson learned.) If you're here for the points, you are NOT here for the right reason. AB is a question and answers social website. That means people ask questions, we answer them, and interact in the comment threads. Points are gravy. See, the idea is to create the huge database of questions and answers able to be searched and found from anywhere on the internet. That's the AB Q&A reason for being. After a few years, they noticed that people were interacting with each other, and created the "Friends" list and the "Friends Q&A" list, where anyone on your friends list would have their questions and answers listed, giving you a much quicker way to get there, if you wish. Some people work strictly from their friends list, some don't. Who cares? We still interact in questions, answers, and comment threads, and are, therefore, friends. Something you may have missed: We don't KNOW who gives us uprates or downrates. I mean, even a friend can SAY they gave you points, but didn't. How would you know? AND, EVERYONE can give your URs/DRs, and MANY don't SAY they did. How do you KNOW who gave you points? If you're removing friends, which I would say you aren't, because they haven't TOLD you they URed you, then you are losing good friends from your list. As I said, if you're here for the points only, you are here for the wrong reason. Someone asked about ABers who ask a lot of questions but don't comment and don't rate. Here's my answer to THAT one: http://www.answerbag.com/a_view/7639005
  • Huh? Points are hardly the point. I don't understand why anyone cares about points here. They are virtually meaningless.
  • No. I am grateful to get some kind of feedback for my answers, so I would usually not give points to the asker before I don't get some kind of feedback for my answer, that *could* have been from the asker (points or comment). This way, users who never give me any points or comments rarely get points from me. But that's all. As to the users on my friend list, there are more than 200 at the moment, so I don't have so much time for every one of them. Except when I accept a friend request, I rarely look specifically at my friends's questions to answer them. I just answer the questions that I find interesting; it happens that many are asked by users on my friend list.
  • I do not delete for that. I would only delete those who I have nothing in common with.
  • nope and i wont delete anyone, i also dont get mad or upset when someone dr's me.
  • No, I generally keep my friends. I like hearing what they have to say, even if I don't agree with it.
  • No, I don't. I don't even 'track' who's given me points & who hasn't, for that matter.   But I DO go through my friends list from time to time specifically to give them points, when I come upon a fun or well written answer. :)
  • no becuase i would not want someone to do me like that.
