  • from my previous experience with a small lhasa and an average size golden retriever, they're about the same in difficulty in potty training, which isnt that hard to do
  • i own 2 staffordshire bull terriers & they were just as easy to house train as were my german shepherds, i never used a crate but once i`d fed or played with them i took them out to the spot i wanted them to use, also once they`d woke up, people have their own way of training but i just dont like the idea of keeping puppies in a crate, they have just as much freedom as my kids.
  • Because there bladders are small they have to go more often.
  • Don't know. My boy Gus didn't need to be potty trained. He was basically an outside dog to begin with. Now, when he want to go outside, he just asks. He knows that all he has to do is come to the door and ask and we will let him in. Works out pretty well for all the family, including Gus.
  • I think it's a question of breeding. Puppy mill dogs have genetic issues and flaws. As smaller dogs are quite popular right now, puppy mills and backyard breeders are perpetuating inferior lines in order to make more money
  • Potty train a dog? Do you mean literally? Or do you mean paper training/going outside?
