  • Non sequiter. Some would say the stock market is a leading indicator and the housing market trails. Other would say the stock market is moved by a bunch of gamblers betting on the future.
  • The stock market is going up because the actual value of the stocks is higher than the prices that were being paid while the reverse was true of housing which was artificially inflated for decades because of government meddling. .
