Remove tabs, to save for "causes". Crush cans and recycle for cash when I get several garbage cans full.

I remove the tabs and give them to McDonalds (for their childrens hospital) and since they don't burn we have to take them into town and recycle them... 26 pounds worth of aluminum cans got us a whole $8.

Return them to the store. The Michigan deposit on them is ten cents. They help knock a bit off the weekly grocery bill.

Give them to my sister and brother in law to recycle, otherwise I would just toss them. I don't have the time, or the ability to drive them to California or Reno like they do.

Here in India traders come and buy all old news papers, cans, old iron, glass bottles, broken plastic and everything else that could be recycled.
Everything has a value. So we sell them once every month.

Trash them. They only pay about 30 cents a pound and it takes more fuel to get there than it would be to cash them in.

Trash them, our small town doesn't offer much in the way of recycling them.

I put them in my recycling bag and eventually dump the bag into a large blue curbside recycling container.
