Why do people on AB answer questions if they dont have anything constructive to add to the topic?

Maybe they think they are adding constructive answers to the topic. Sometimes the people asking the question don't understand the answer, but perhaps they should ask for more information. Sometimes the people answering don't have enough information to do a good job. The people asking should read all the answers and select the best answer for their problem.
