My first video game was THE FIRST video game. Pong. Although I did once 'break' the Tic-Tac-Toe machine that was once set up in the LA Museum of Science. A relay powered mechanical computer! But it couldn't handle the classic 'first move wins' strategy.

... yet another "Pong" player ... ... the first one that was mine, was "Warp Factor" for my 'new' 1983 Apple II+ ...
-
I never had a video game system until I was 8, so I had to play what my best friend had, which was an Apple II. The first game I played must have been Sammy Light Foot, Apple Panic, or Karateka.

Super Mario Bros. on the nes. I kept dying, and then I started crying and everyone was laughing at me.

The first video game I ever played was Survival on the Spectrum 48k. In the game you had to choose an animal to be ranging from a hawk to a butterfly. Then you moved round in grids trying to eat food and not get eaten or poisoned. All animals had a limited lifespan, that would end the game, as would the north and south pole. I was aged about 9 and really enjoyed Survival.

The first game I played was the original Pong. My Aunt and Uncle bought it when it first came out. It cost $99.99 new. The machine only made the paddles and the ball on the TV screen. It came with different sized of plastic cling that you stuck to the screen that was tinted green and had the rest of the "Tennis Court" on it. It also came with Ghost Hunter, but I never figured that game out.

Pong also. *sigh*
