2 scenarios:
1. You are at a firing range or on private property and you:
a. Don't point the gun at anything you aren't willing to destroy
b. Treat every gun as if it were loaded.
c. Are sure of your target and what's behind it.
d. Keep your finger off the trigger until you are ready to fire.
or
2. You are defending your life, the life of another, or your property from violent attack, in which case you should be aware of the potential legal consequences.
Don't give the gun control advocates ammo for their arguments, be safe and responsible.
