yes one person can make a difference. It might seem hard but just keep trying and you will accomplish what you want to do.
-
Yes. Even something really small like smiling can make a world of difference. All your actions have some sort of ripple effect.
-
Of course! Look at all the scientists' discoveries.... and inventors! You have to start someplace, ONE thought at a time.
-
Of course.
-
yes. one person can make a difference by encouraging others to make a difference. one person can make a difference by helping somebody to be happy, if only for a little while. there are many things one person can do if their heart is in it.
-
All is lost if we don't think we can make a difference. Even if it is small. There would be no reason to care about anything.
-
YES! A lot of people made a difference! Scientists, doctors, teachers, presidents, etc. Anyone can make a difference.
-
Actually, it's not possible to STOP making a difference. That's what personal responsibility is... there's no way to escape making a difference, thus the need to pay attention to what we're doing with our time and lives.
-
Not only can one person make a difference but every person does make a difference every day they are alive, some good, some bad. The consequences of what you do and how you do it, or do not do, every day affect other people and things, which has the aforementioned ripple effect.......
-
Yes. examples of one person at different times who made a difference: Jesus of Nazareth, The Buddha, Marie Curie, Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Dewey Long, and Martin Luther King. These are just a few. There are many other examples from history.
-
Yes! I make a difference everyday!
-
Each and every one of us make a difference in the world. :-)
-
I forgot two other very important persons: Mom and Dad (Either for good or bad they affect everyone)
-
Definitely YES... Theses are some of the names that come to mind: Jesus, Martin Luther King Jr, Mohammed, Buddha, Ghengis Khan, Napoleon, Einstein, Hitler, Gutenberg, Oppenheimer, Pope John Paul II, Princess Diana, and most importantly... YOU!
-
They absolutly can--good and bad--look at Jesus for one.
-
Yes. "Never doubt that a small group of people can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ~Margaret Mead
-
Yes. Funny you ask, I Just read this quote about half an hour ago: "One machine can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one extraordinary man." Elbert Hubbard
-
i know of a saying that goes, "stand up for what's right, even if you have to stand alone."
-
Many people in history have made a difference. Think of famous scientists and what they have achieved. Einstein, Graham Bell, Ford all have made a difference. Politicians have made a difference, for good or worse. It is easier to make a difference if you have power, but I believe that the average human being can make a difference as well. Parents can make a huge difference to a community by raising their kids to be responsible for their actions, to consider their neughbours etc.
-
not realy we are all gonna die in the end
-
Yes. and do everyday of their life.
-
yes...sometimes, thats all it takes and thats all who are willing to make one =]
-
Yes, happens all the time. From what seems to be small to big differences.
-
yes
-
Yes I do believe that to be true. Ghandi Martin Luther King Jnr. Mother Teresa. many more.
-
Yes, I believe one person can really make a difference. I know I've been negative with your questions today, and I agree with Firebrand's list but I can't help but share that the first name that came to mind was Hitler....
-
I do believe this. It's been said that no great leader was ever in the majority. Sometimes one man or woman with clear vision and determination can help alter history and change the minds of many.
-
I do. The key is timing and a clear message together.
-
yes, i do. I've seen it happen in numerous circumstances..examples...i had a friend single handedly start up an overdose prevention project that made it legal for heroin addicts to carry narcan(an opiate blocker)in the years that followed..research was done and it was shown that the number of deadly overdoses had decreased by a large amount. i felt that this was important because i know that many people turn to drugs because they are misguided..and i hate to think that they would have to pay for it with their lives.
-
yes
-
Yes!
-
Yes.
-
yea. family friends lonely neighbors students that old man who lost his wife...one person can truly give them a reason to smile, even if it's barely visible. it's a difference and i bet if you ask that old man why he smiled and he tells you "that kid across the street gave me an apple" we might think nothing of it, but that man just lost his wife and he can still smile. that's a difference
-
Yes. Absoluetly. One person can cause a chain reaction which can change the world. By doing little things to make the world a better place you are indvertantly encouraging others to do the same and when culminated, all the little acts of good/kindness make a mass difference!
-
No. One person can start something, but it is the effect they create that makes the difference. Giving the credit to one person negates the actions of others.
-
yes, one person can make a difference, sometimes for the best and sometimes for the worst.
-
They can stick to their guns, never get bought out or corrupted, and use the truth to let their knowledge be heard and make a difference in many lives sometimes, at least thats what I tell myself.
-
Throw a pebble into a pond and watch the ripples grow. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction, this is a law of physics, but it also applies to the actions or words of a single man, woman or child. Since a single, seemingly insignificant, but brave effort to make the world a better place seems so small and ineffective, we must remember the old 'ripple effect' and wait to see how many other good things will come out of the initial attempt. They will go on and on for eternity, and will never be lost.

By becoming President of the US
-
They can change your attitude , for good ,towards life :)
-
In the Grea† Scheme of things.........whatever they tell you.....NO!
-
Actually I believe yes and that everyone's put on this earth for a reason and to figure out what they were made to do in this world. Watch the movie Pay it Forward if you don't believe me on how one person can make a difference.
-
Not only can one person make a difference, but one thought can make a difference, even one word can make a difference.
-
I believe so. When someone shows courage in the face of adversity, it is an inspiration to everyone. When someone rises above the crowd to do what's right, we all benefit.
-
I dunno. But life seems more meaningful believing that, no? ;-)
-
Of course, but always at a cost.
-
Always! Try just being you and watch the change
-
Hell yeah! My mom made a huge difference by being a good mother to me :) Maybe that doesn't mean much to you but it means a lot to me and the people who care about me. As far as I'm concerned if I help one person by doing my best then it was well worth it. I don't judge worth based on how many people I made a difference for, only that I tried and helped at least one.
-
absolutely one person can make a major difference if he happens to be God Almighty in disguise that is. and as far as an individual who is not divine, forget it. the best you can hope to accomplish is another Adolf Hitler or Mussolini. people seem to be a little too slavishly obedient to evil types like that.
-
absolutely positively.
-
Everything, absolutely everything starts with one person. What develops from that one person determines how successful the idea is. AB was an idea that belonged to one person. Look at it now. Microsoft was one persons idea. They just shared it with others and enlisted help and brought others into the fold. One person has to make a difference. All we really have, in the end, is each other.
-
No, it is impossible for one person to make a change :P
-
Absolutely! and many have!
-
i'm 34 and i'm just starting to believe that. :)
-
Yes indeed they can. One person can make a very real and very big difference by donating to an orphanage where their donation will help not only one child ... but many. http://www.orphanages.ws/?gclid=COTZmYSvopkCFSMSagodX35-pw
-
I'm not sure, I just know that all it takes is one a-hole to mess up everybody's situation.
-
ohhh yes one person can. My son's teacher helped my son and changed his life. Teacher's rock!
-
yesssssssssssssssssssssss of couuuuuuuuuuurse

One person can make a difference for another person, but one person can’t really change anything on a global stage, not even really on a national stage, or state wide. One person can make a difference for another person, but one person can’t really change anything on a global stage, not really on a national stage, or even state wide. But one person can make all the difference for one person. i.e. teachers, fire fighters, police officers, doctors, etc.
-
one person with merit can be difference-maker."in past there was no another you.there is no another you.and in comming time, there will be no another you.so now show us colour your rainbow"
-
