  • Why go outside at all? +5
  • 2 pairs.
  • Two. My winter shoes and boots fit with 2 pairs. I have thick warm bootie socks I wear indoors.
  • Depends but no more than 2. I find a pair of silk sock liners inside my thick wool socks those and my snow pants have never let me down yet.
  • I used to wear heavy socks when I'd go outside. But, I've discovered lighter weight fleece socks and one pair of those does a wonderful job of keeping my feet warm all winter.
  • Bookworm lurves her hunting socks. I wear one pair of those and have toasty toes. I take them off when I get to work and put on my "pretty work shoes." [No, I do not hunt, I just like the socks. Hunting is cold work, I do not like the cold.]
  • 2 pairs or one wool pair of socks that keeps my feet warm out doors.
  • Just 1 pair, that is if I go out in those conditions. I HATE snow. Grew up shoveling it off the sidewalk in front of the house, then had to drive thru miles and miles of it for work. Lived in a mountain area where we received 'feet' of snow, not inches every night. Now - I 'chose' to avoid it like the plague. Did I mention that I HATE snow?
  • 2 pairs everyday with my work boots, heavy wool socks over 1 pair of reg socks if Im going out in the snow. Ussualy just one in sneakers though because there really tight with a second pair.
  • I lived in Massachusetts for 5 years and survived some spiffy n'or easters! I only wore one pair of thick socks but I always wore nylons underneath them...nylons make for some surprisingly good insulation! :)
  • I wear sandals year around but in winter I will wear two pairs of socks. Midwest winters suck.
