    my aspiring ex insists on using "unhealthy". i checked the web site of the american society for the overweight and it says that it's wrong to use the word fat. i told my physician that i am trying to reduce the # of calorically-challenged cells around my belly, and he insisted on using the politically incorrect term "obese"

    Not the word but probably in the way it's used. Like "Hey, look at that fat tub of lard!" Meaning a fat person. Not the pig fat.

    Maybe to some people. Definitely not all. I think it depends on the usage. Most people wouldn't find "fat" being used as a generic insult, to be politically correct.
