Why do kids these days assume that they're cutting edge because they like music before their time? Can't they see they're just following the trend?

The fact is *Everyone* likes to think they're "Cutting Edge". Even the kids who like current pop music think they're "Cutting Edge". Pop culture these days is either blatant crap, or people ruining good music by making it pretentious, there's no escape from the "Cutting Edge".
