Faith in what? Sometimes we are just cynical. It can be due to our moods, bad experiences, how we were taught... but it all adds up to our philosophy about life. [Not mutually exclusive:] Some people have faith in the good nature of human beings, some people have faith in God or a higher power, some people have faith that our friends will always be there when we need them. Some people have no faith. Faith is not always a good thing, especially if faith is not combined with action. Eg: I have faith that the UK will not be run by the BNP or "Respect" parties, but faith alone will not prevent these things from happening.

Well, it depends what you mean by faith, as there are all kinds. People can be cynical and faithless whatever their background, and there are people who profess faith who do not show it in their dealings with others. It's a sensitive area and it might all go a lot better if people were less quick to criticise others' faith or apparent lack of it, and focus instead on themselves. Faith is, I believe, a personal thing.

I dunno, I'm too busy being shocked at the realization that you have 529 questions and not a one of them has gone unanswered. Is there anybody else at that volume level who can say the same? If so, then my faith in questions is restored, I guess :)
