I think that had we gone after Al Queda in 1993, or if we had taken action against the bombers who destroyed the Marine barracks in Lebanon when Regan was President we would be in a much better place today. this is not say that we have no problems--but that they would be of a lesser nature.

911/ well it not just the muslims you should blame, infact one of the suicide bombers is infact an Israeli, so i guess Judism is definitly the culprit in this.
As a Thought i dont think it american who wants iraqs oil, but infact It is ISRAEL that wants the Oil.
Why is Western Civilisation So Goods toward Judism
Becasue Jews are Devoted to Israel that is why and many US president are indeed JEW related

Jewish People are more dangerous then Muslims, Jewish is the Most Comman People Part of Freemasons nearly 70% of members are Jews
    Think
6 pointed star is a Freemason Symbol, and before the six pointed star was NOT a symbol for Judism, until it was tooken over in the 60 years ago.
Freemason were the ones that formed and united Israel in 60 years Ago
Sir Winston Churchil was a FreeMason and many of his family members are Jews,
Hitlers Doctor was a Jew and he had a Jewish Background
    Jews are known for sacrifices
    =
I would suppot the Muslimin Destroying this Israel, i can see why Muslims hate israel,
It is Freemasons that are casuing this HATE between countrys

Yes, it's all a world-wide zionist plot in cahoots with the Freemasons, the Illuminati, the Ku Klux Klan, and shadowy elements of the Women's Temperance Movement. Death to them all!

Cap't Harley: you're one of the few in-on-the-know about the secret power of the Women's Temperance Movement. These so-called little old ladies with blue hair and wearing sneakers are, indeed, the ultimate threat to world peace. I'm glad that you had the guts to bring this out in the open.

i absolutly do, i stil believe we would have terrorism problems today, but at least Al Queda would have taken a huge hit and we could have captured Osama and other leaders while the threat was lower and before they grew really large. If president Clinton had taken action all those years of setting up the organization would have been more limited. Also, we still may of had the World Trade Center towers today and all those people would have not died.

Your question exhibits such deep misunderstanding of history that it is difficult to know how to answer it.

Firstly, there is no connection whatsoever between the illegal war against the Iraqi people and Al Quaeda. Even Bush doesn't claim that any more. It was all a lie to convince simps to approve the war.

Secondly, there is no record anywhere in history of military action defeating terrorism. To have prevented the 9/11 attacks, America would have needed to take political action. I believe that Clinton tried his best to assist the Middle East peace process.

Honestly, I don't think it would have made a difference. The nature of this whole "War on Terror" means that it will never be over. There will ALWAYS be someone out there who wants to do you harm.

If he had taken quick, forceful action against Al Queda it may have solved an immediate problem but I'm certain someone else would have stepped up, seeing the dead as martyrs, and redoubled their efforts.

Its sort of a no-win situation.

You might as well as a question about what would have happened if a pig had flown, as ask a question about Clinton carrying out any kind of competent counterstrike against the terrorists who orchestrated the 1993 bombing.

A better way to rephrase the question would be to ask what would have happened if, in 1993, we had had a President and an administration that had the will to do what needed to be done to defend this nation.

We are in a war that has been going on now for about thirty years.  Ever since the 1970s, these thugs have been increasing in power and organization.  1993 represents a point in time when they thought they had the strength to bring down the World Trade Center, and by doing so, to strike a serious blow against the United States, and against all who decline to support their twisted version of Islam.  It turned out that they were mistaken, but it ought to have been a major wake-up call for our nation and its leadership.

If we had had a competent leader in power in 1993, then we would have responded to that attack the way that we finally did respond to the 2001 attacks, and the 2001 attacks would never have happened.  Thousands of Americans are dead now, because of Clinton's cowardice and incompetence.

If Clinton, or Gore, or Kerry, or any of the impotent cowards of that circle had been in power in 2001, then we would surely have offered the same non-response that we did to the 1993 attacks, and by now, we would surely have been hit by many more similar attacks.

Yes I do, however terrorism would still be a huge issue in the world today. Al Qaeda is not the only terrorist network.

i don't know but it seems like 911 was revenge for the 1991 blunder of bush senior's Desert storm. We cut and run ,clinton was too involved in defending his sex practices to worry about anything else.perhaps if republicans would have dropped the sex scandal clinton may have done his job.Maybe next time right wingers will allow our president to protect our nation

I don't think we would. There are many to blame, but Clinton's lack of leadership for 8 years is a big factor.

Yes, because for some Dumb_ss reason Bush had to go after Saddam, Granted he was not the most liked guy in the World. they did not find anything so he did it because his dad did not complete the mission the first time. But dont you think that We should be having Our Tax Dollars spent in Afganistan to get the Real Killer Bin Ladin. I lost someone inmortant to me in Iraq because he stood for you and me and his country. so I think Bush should send his children over there for nothing but personal gain.

Yes, Al Queda has no strong link with Iraq. They've yet to determine the relationship of the two. But if Europe had not capitulated to Germany after WWI, we would not have had to deal with Hitler in WWII. Hindsight is 20/20. There was oppurtunity but not enough justification for the collateral damage and international backlash that would have resulted as seen then.

Since Iraq had no involvement with Al Quaeda or September 11, we would be in this boggle anyway. Bush wanted to invade Iraq, so he did, and he would have anyway.

Politically, Clinton wouldn't have been able to invade Afghanistan or even launch more than a couple of cruise missile attacks. There wouldn't have been enough international cooperation to freeze Al Qaeda's financial assets worldwide, either.
