  • The experience i have had with putting a colour on bleached hair is that the hair is very porous and will soak up any colour you put on. i suggest you get a semi permanent in a light brown and leave it on for only a few minutes before rinsing. The colour should be lighter than it looks on the bottle. Technically theres no colour i think that they recommend on bleached hair, i just go for an ammonia free one. Hope this helps.
  • Thanks, I thought as much.. I tried a wash out biege blonde colour but it went very ash tone on the ends.. I have used lemon juice to wash it out and thats helped alot.. I was hoping that there may be some amazing colour out there designed for bleached hair!! No such luck.. I was hoping to avoid a costly trip to the hairdressers.

  • the best thing to do is try this url: www.clairol.com and there might be a phone number to call so you can talk to a rep. i would ask if hydriance is ok to use, it has no or very low amonia. i hope you do your research first, you may also google search for info on 'how to dye bleached hair.' the best color for me is clairol nice'n'easy, i use 118A to cover my greys.(i started getting some grey in my late 20's, so i have been using clairol ever since. they really improved their coloring and conditioning.
