First I have heard about it..but no I don't agree with it..I know screaming kids can be annoying at times..but thats assult and slapping a two year old..disgusting..hope he got into trouble for it..
-
He should be damn ass thankful it was not my 2 yr/old he slapped........then I wish I was the one dispatched to that call!!!!!!
-
I have not heard about this of course, it sounds to me like abuse, tell me what happened!!
-
If I had been there and witnessed it, or if it had been my child, the bastard would be eating thru a straw for the rest of his life after I got done with him.
-
I would not recommend that Wal-Mart hire this man as a greeter.

I think it is despicable. According to this article, the mother says she forgives him and that he must have mental issues. The court took it more seriously; he has been charged with a felony and is currently being held without bond. http://www.cbsatlanta.com/news/20684677/detail.html

I think the man behaved in an atrocious manner. Also he didn't know any child psychology. The child would have bawled even louder after the slap from a stranger fearing for its life. He could easily have pacified the child with a few kind words and made it happy.
-
Why did the mother allow some stranger that close to her 2 year old, especially after he threatened to do something earlier?
-
Wow! I can't believe someone would do that! The guy would not be walking anytime soon -- if ever again.

Sorry Sunshine. I posted almost the same question. When I did a search nothing showed up so I didn't think anyone else knew about it :(
-
Anyone who would dare do that to another person's child has GOT to be mentally ill. I would have grabbed a bag of ice on the entrance wall and slammed his head open with it. Then when he recovered he would be in a cell for a few weeks at least and when he got out I would be waiting at the jail exit to execute him. ....but that's just me.
-
i think he is a jerk ... i hope he goes to jail for a long time ..i hate child abuse.
-
I think he'll do some time. I'm not violent but had I been the mother I may well have torn into him.

God seriously have you ever been in a walmart an heard s mother not doing anything to calm her child??? I have a 7 yr old a 4 yr old a 2 yr old and a newborn! Life is a little crazy but you don't here my kids screaming or acting awful. I don't condone what the man did but why did the mother not calm here child or take him/her to the bathroom! I'm stuck in between here it's he'll to shop with a child acting up and u would totally have whaled in that man if he hit my child!!! But comon sense plays here the mother was warned is she not smart enough to leave to keep her child out of harm or is she not smart enough to go to the service desk and tell someone know what the man had said? Come on people if the mother was warned why in the hell was she not able to use reaction?? I've totally want to help a mother before on telling her child shit ur butt in that basket and chill for your mother!! I would never do that but some man acted on it! The mother should have got her child in check! Thi is the problem these dys children are allowed to act awful because parents allow it!!!!

I have had rages such as in the car and situations that can get frustrating. THere is no excuse for anyone to harm a child, especially a stranger. BUT... THe mother should have taken the child outside to calm him down and be respectful of others. I am a mother that has alot of friends that are not parents and their patience level is no where near mine or that of parents. I mean I can ignore the crying and whining, etc. & thats MY problem. I did not bring her into this world to annoy others. He should be charged for sure though.
-
I find small children annoying, personally, but I would NEVER strike someone's child. That man was lucky he didn't get beat down. My mother was not known to spare the rod, but if some stranger hit one of us there would be hell to pay!

i say that's just sick because kids are kids, and that could not me my child.
